It should also be noted that reduced postage rates may apply if more than one book is ordered. Contact the Direct Book Service for details.

Wimborne Publishing Ltd are also the publishers of Radio Bygones, the leading magazine for vintage radio enthusiasts.

Whether your interest in yesterday's technology is only in military communications, or extends also to domestic radio and TV, amateur radio, aeronautical or marine communications, radar and radionavigation, instruments, broadcasting, audio and recording, or professional radio systems fixed or mobile, Radio Bygones is the magazine for you.

Articles on restoration and repair, history, circuit techniques, personalities, reminiscences and just plain nostalgia - you'll find them all.  Plus features on museums and private collections and a full-colour photo-feature in every issue.

It's mostly about valves, of course, but 'solid-state' - whether of the coherer and spark-gap variety or the pioneering days of semiconductors-also has a place.

From the days of Maxwell, Herz, Lodge and Marconi to what was the state-of-the-art just a few short years ago ... Radio Bygones covers it all!

Radio Bygones is published six times a year by postal subscription; it is not available at newsagents. Annual subscription rates (October 2008) are £21 to UK addresses, £23.50 to Europe, or £29.00 elsewhere by airmail.

To take out a subscription, or to order a sample copy, contact the publisher's address given above. In addition, when you have access to the Internet, you may go the www.radiobygones.co.uk. Through it you can take out a subscription to RB, use the 'small adds' section and the message board (Chat Zone') The latter is for benefit of not only RB readers, but visitors to the site as well. Via the board you can post questions, discuss magazine-related topics and to discuss views, nostalgia, information and tips. Online issues are available to buy and download at www.radiobygones.co.uk (a free issue is available to download)
